Mainframe Tech Project Manager

Mainframe Tech Project Manager needed for a 6-month onsite contract located in Quincy, MA. No visor Sponsorship offered. Contract offers a competitive rate. 7 years of experience required.

Must Have Technical / Functional Skills

7–10 years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in banking preferably in custody asset servicing (global markets or investment operations).

Demonstrable delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programs (e.g., system migrations, regulatory implementations, client transitions).

Experience with IT budget planning and project time tracking, preferably with Clarity.

Experience with SDLC (Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall), Jira, Confluence.

Proven governance and stakeholder management with senior leaders and external clients.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of custody operations, corporate actions, income processing, settlements (DTC / Euroclear / Clearstream), reconciliation.

SWIFT messaging (MT / MX / ISO 20022).

Cash management and end-of-day processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver end-to-end projects (requirements, design, testing, cutover, hypercare).

Manage RAID logs, budgets, and governance forums; produce executive dashboards.

Drive operating model and process improvements; document SOPs and controls.

Coordinate UAT and production readiness; ensure stable post-go-live performance.

Align with risk, compliance, and audit standards; maintain an auditable change record.

Ability to multi-task and to take the initiative when needed.

Manage IT budget planning and project time tracking on Clarity.
