Description
ICA Language Services is seeking an experienced, independent, and detail-oriented Controller to lead our government contracting accounting function. Reporting directly to the President, this role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for government contract accounting, including full-cycle accounting operations, indirect rate management, compliance, financial reporting, and DCAA audit readiness.
This position plays a key role in monthly close, financial reporting, and executive decision support, while ensuring ongoing compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA requirements. The Controller will partner closely with executive leadership, program management, and operations to support current contracts and future growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead hands-on, full-cycle government contract accounting, including A/P, A/R, billing, payroll, G/L, and month-end close
Own and maintain indirect rate structures, cost pools, and allocation bases
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports
Manage contract revenue recognition, job cost reporting, and cost accumulation
Support cost proposals, pricing strategy, and forward pricing rate development
Serve as subject matter expert for FAR Part 31, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA audit readiness
Manage and support DCAA and external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit support
Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and overall balance sheet integrity
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and contract funding
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Identify and implement process improvements to improve close-cycle efficiency
Analyze financial data and communicate results to non-financial stakeholders
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff, and make staffing recommendations as needed
Support budgeting, forecasting, and ERP configuration and reporting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including government contracting
Strong knowledge of FAR Part 31, CAS, DFARS, and DCAA requirements
Hands-on experience with Unanet (preferred); Deltek Costpoint experience also strongly considered
Proven experience with indirect rates, job costing, and labor distribution
Strong GAAP and government contract cost accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment
