Job Title: Project Engineer (SCADA systems)

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months contract (W2 only)

PLEASE NOTE: Have to be willing to travel to customer's or customer identified site not 100% remote needs to be flexible to travel as needed based on business requirements.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Experience with implementation, installation, configuration, customization, upgradation of DMS / EMS system for utilities / system operators.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms: GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), GE eTerra, Siemens Spectrum Power, OSI Monarch, or similar products.

Good experience over programming languages: C/C++ and Java & Oracle Database

Experience on working with database management: Oracle / SQL Server and basic scripting for configuration or automation.

Strong understanding of power system concepts Generation, Transmission, and Distribution.

Knowledge of network applications (Power Flow, Contingency Analysis, State Estimator, Load Forecasting, etc.).

Experience with communication protocols: IEC 101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP.

Working experience on Linux and Windows platforms.

Knowledge of network security, redundancy, and failover mechanism in control center environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Execute SCADA/DMS/EMS project implementations for generation, transmission, and distribution utilities in compliance with project scope and timelines.

Perform system architecture design, database setup, and network modelling for control center applications.

Configure and test real-tile and study applications such as Power Flow, State Estimation, Contingency Analysis, and Load Forecasting.

Lead system integration, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.

Coordinate with internal engineering, software, and commissioning teams, as well as customer technical teams, to ensure smooth project execution.

Manage project documentation including design documents, test procedures, as-built records, and user manuals.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting and post-implementation maintenance for deployed systems.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

Ability to manage client discussions, and technical reviews.

Effective communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.

Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

Education

Masters or bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
