Location: Chantilly, VA 20152

Contract Duration: 22 Weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hourPosition Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and reliable Teacher Assistant to support instructional delivery and classroom management in a school setting. This role plays a vital part in assisting teachers with daily classroom activities, supporting student learning, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment.Key Responsibilities

Support lead teachers with the organization and delivery of daily lessons, classroom activities, learning centers, and group instruction

Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social support to students as needed

Monitor student behavior and performance, offering positive reinforcement and redirection

Prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and educational resources

Assist with classroom technology, instructional tools, and learning software when applicable

Supervise students during class time, transitions, arrival/dismissal, lunch, and recess to ensure safety

Assist with grading, recordkeeping, and classroom documentation as directed

Communicate professionally with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress

Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment aligned with school policies and curriculum goalsQualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in education preferred

Prior experience working with children in a school, daycare, tutoring, or youth program setting strongly preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom support skills

Ability to follow instructional direction while working independently when needed

Demonstrated patience, professionalism, and commitment to student success

Familiarity with academic support strategies, child development, or special education is a plus
