Job Description This Epic Client Server Administrator (ECSA) position is responsible for implementing, administering, proactive monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the Microsoft Windows server infrastructure which support day-to-day operations of critical Epic application environments serving Production, Non-production, Reporting, Training and Disaster Recovery to ensure the highest degree of systems performance and availability.
Experience * 5 to 8 years related experience including 3 years of experience in a desktop support or direct support helpdesk position * 5 years of experience in application delivery services including Hypervisors (VMWare 5.X, 6.X), Windows Operating Systems, Citrix XenApp 6.X, 7.X, Applications, and Patch Management Preferred Qualifications * Epic ECSA110, MyChart, MyChart Mobile, and EpicCare-Link, ECSA115 * Associates degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science * Experience with network administration using Active Directory Group Policy Objects as well as systems administration * CCAA * 2+ years of experience in healthcare setting * Epic ECSA101, 102 and 105 * Epic ECSM Education * High school diploma or equivalent Certification Summary * Epic ECSA101 * Epic ECSA 102 or Epic ECSA 105 * Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification in a Windows server operating system or Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Demonstrate well-developed organizational, written communication and analytical skills * Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative, executive staff and patient care systems users * Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities Job Responsibilities * Installs, configures, administers, manages, monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes Epic ECSA Components: BCA-PC, BCA-Web, Cantu, Care-EveryWhere, Care-Link, ECSA Tools, FIPS, Haiku, HyperSpace, HyperSpace-Web, Interconnect, Kuiper, MyChart, MyChart Mobile, PrintService, Relay, Rover, SOAPProxy, Store-Forward, SystemPulse, and WebBlob.
* Provides application installation and troubleshooting of Citrix XenApp suite of products, such as provisioning server, desktop delivery control, virtual desktop images/target devices.
* Provides extensive troubleshooting in installation and configuration of Windows Operating Systems; Disk Configuration and Installation and Configuration of Active Directory Group Policy; Systems Back-up and Recovery; Windows Performance Tuning and Windows Server troubleshooting.
* Responsible for implementation of Citrix environment GPOs.
* Develops and maintains O&S Standard Operating Procedures for XenApp environment.
* Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
* Participates in the development and implementation of Citrix-related operational procedures and standards.
* Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
* Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
* Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
* Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
* Manages XenApp desktop image builds and maintenance with proper change management.
* Provides support for Citrix printing.
* Deploys Citrix VM's as needed.
* Manages, supports, and optimizes desktop management and delivery applications/software.
* Maintains a highly available and disaster recovery configuration including monthly testing.
* Maintains and standardizes Citrix images.
* Patches environments monthly meeting department goals.
* Builds, implements, and supports virtual desktop infrastructures meeting organization standards.
* Monitors Citrix farm resources and take actions as needed.
* Participates in special projects as required.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
* Keeps current with relevant technologies that apply to their day to day job.
