Position Summary
Pryer Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support complex, high-tolerance aerospace machining operations. This is a hands-on, high-skill programming role focused on creating, validating, and optimizing CNC programs for large, complex parts using advanced 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineering, machining, and quality teams to ensure precision, repeatability, and efficiency across aerospace programs supporting space, defense, and advanced aerospace applications. This role is not a machine operator or “button-pushing” position—it requires full ownership of CNC programs from development through production release.
What You’ll Do
Create CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining operations
Develop optimized toolpaths for aluminum and hard-metal aerospace components
Program and simulate machining operations using CATIA V5 and Vericut
Design tooling and fixtures as required to support complex machining
Build detailed setup sheets and machining documentation
Validate and release CNC programs to production
Troubleshoot and optimize programs to improve cycle time, quality, and efficiency
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to meet tight tolerances
Support root cause and corrective action activities related to machining issues
Maintain accurate datasets, drawings, and setup documentation
Provide programming support for large, complex parts and multi-axis machines
What You Bring
5+ years of CNC programming experience
Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 (approximately 5+ years)
Vericut experience (required; non-negotiable)
Hands-on experience programming multi-axis CNC machines
Ability to program aluminum and hard-metal aerospace components
Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and surface finish requirements
Comfortable owning programs end-to-end in a fast-paced aerospace environment
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace manufacturing experience
Experience with Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, Makino, or Siemens controls
Familiarity with Esprit (legacy support only; not required)
Associate degree, technical certification, or engineering background
Experience programming large parts (machines up to ~30 feet)
What You Get
Competitive hourly rate with overtime eligibility
Annual profit-sharing bonus
Mileage reimbursement for travel between Tulsa and Claremore
Company-provided laptop and programming tools
Opportunity to work on space, defense, and classified aerospace programs
Exposure to large, complex, high-visibility parts few shops can handle
Performance-driven culture that rewards high-impact contributors
Modern machines and advanced manufacturing capabilities
Long-term growth potential with increasing compensation for top performers
Full-time
