Position Description

Title:Ecolite Operator

Department:Operations

Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff

Status:Hourly Non-Exempt

Position Purpose: Operates the Ecolite Line

Principle Accountabilities

Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the Ecolite line equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and managing changeover process.

Inspects and measures completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.

Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure products comply with production standards.

Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production-based tasks.

Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.

Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.

Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.

Related tasks as requested by supervisor Essential Skills and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience required

Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.

Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required

Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
