As a Global IP Program Manager within the Program Management Office (PMO), you will play a key role in the strategic coordination of research and engineering initiatives that support our global intellectual property (IP) and innovation programs. You'll work with cross-functional technical teams and senior project managers to help organize project execution, track deliverables, and ensure alignment across our distributed R&D organization.
This position, based in our Puerto Rico office, offers an exciting opportunity to develop your program management skills in a global, technical environment. You'll be mentored and coached by senior members of the PMO as you grow into a leadership role within our international R&D operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate global IP and R&D projects, ensuring clear communication, timeline tracking, and milestone completion across regions and teams.
Support senior PMO members in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and status updates for leadership.
Facilitate collaboration between research, engineering, and operations teams, documenting decisions, requirements, and progress.
Contribute to process improvements, helping design and refine templates, tools, and reporting mechanisms that enhance project visibility and consistency.
Assist in tracking IP development workflows, including idea submission, evaluation, and progress through internal review stages.
Help monitor project metrics, risks, and dependencies to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Support Agile practices, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, and promote clear accountability across distributed teams.
Collaborate on resourcing and onboarding for offshore and partner teams involved in global R&D and IP development.
Qualifications
3-5 years of total work experience and at least 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, technical operations, or an equivalent program support role.
Professional exposure to engineering, research, or innovative programs preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
Ability to work effectively across time zones and in distributed team environments.
Interest in developing program management and Agile delivery skills through mentorship and hands-on learning.
