Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Operations Specialist / Developer

Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Only candidates local to Columbus, OH will be considered.

Job Summary

The RPA Operations Specialist / Developer modifies existing software and applications—often complex in nature—or builds new programs to support organizational and user needs. This role involves designing, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing solutions, as well as partnering with users to identify requirements and provide technical support. The specialist will also help resolve production issues, lead or participate in system automation projects, and provide guidance or training to team members.

The selected candidate will design, develop, test, integrate, and support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Blue Prism and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, unit test, and integrate RPA solutions

Participate in requirements gathering and definition

Execute proof-of-concept initiatives

Collaborate with external vendor teams

Provide development estimates based on project scope

Learn new systems, applications, technologies, and business domains

Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices

Follow all team and corporate standards and guidelines

Support and troubleshoot production issues

Manage tasks independently or within small team environments

Work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment

Assist in leading, training, and mentoring team members

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

4+ years of experience developing Blue Prism RPA solutions in a corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

2+ years of experience developing JavaScript web applications

2+ years of experience developing .NET applications (web or desktop)

2+ years of experience developing VBA (Microsoft Office macros)

2+ years of experience developing mainframe scripting applications (e.g., Passport, Attachmate)

2+ years of experience developing RPA solutions using Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and/or Ruby Cucumber

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables

Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and tools

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Ability to balance both development and support responsibilities

Experience collaborating with business stakeholders

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
