Construction Inspector

Job Description

WEBB is currently seeking Public Works Construction Inspectors for part-time and/or full-time on-call project-based positions. Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of experience inspecting the construction of roads, traffic signals, water, sewer, and storm drain facilities. The position requires familiarity with a broad spectrum of general civil construction activities, materials, methods, and processes. Salary range: $67,080 - $153,296

Responsibilities

Monitor and document construction processes; prepare daily inspection reports with the use of an iPad

Read, interpret, and enforce construction drawings and specifications

Worksites in the Inland Southern California and Coachella Valley areas

Identify construction issues, communicate clearly (written and verbal) with the project team, and prepare accurate as-built drawings

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, technical school or college degree preferred

Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), and iPad

Desired Certifications:

• Cal/OSHA Trenching and Excavation

• Cal/OSHA Confined Space

• Traffic Control and Flagger

• ACI Concrete

• APWA Public Infrastructure Inspector

• ICC Reinforced Concrete

• Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP)
