Ohio EPA Summer ITS Intern
What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest Information Technology Services intern at our Central Office in Franklin County.

As an Ohio EPA intern, you will participate in Ohio EPA's College Intern program by assisting with routine duties and project requests.
GIS:
Use ArcGIS Pro and other GIS software to analyze geospatial data and fulfill mapping requests.
Assist with the creation, maintenance, and reporting of Ohio EPA’s geospatial data.
Participate in the development of map-based apps, such as StoryMaps, dashboards, and Experience Builder applications.
ITS Service Center:
Receive training in aspects of office and project coordination activities.
Receive orientation to all program areas, including:
- Monitoring help desk email
- Creating tickets
- Dispatching technicians
- Assisting customers with basic troubleshooting of computer problems
- Follow up with customers and close tickets
Quality Assurance:
Receive training in aspects of business logic for software projects
Receive training for automated software testing.
Perform manual and automated software testing.
Create bug tickets and follow up with customers using Jira software
Perform Regression tests
MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN COLLEGE DEGREE PROGRAM DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION OR HAVE RECENTLY GRADUATED WITHIN THE QUARTER/SEMESTER IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE START DATE.
Major area of study: data analytics, statistical analysis, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics and statistics.
Knowledge of safety practices, public relations, Agency policies and procedures and permits as applicable..
Skills in computers (word processing and database work).
