Position Overview

A vertically integrated real estate development and construction firm specializing in large-scale student housing and multifamily communities is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects. This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily on-site construction operations from site mobilization through project closeout

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff

Enforce project schedules, sequencing, and milestone deadlines

Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, safety standards, and local codes

Conduct daily site walks and quality control inspections

Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused jobsite

Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and coordinate inspections

Track progress and communicate schedule updates to project leadership

Resolve field issues, constructability challenges, and scope conflicts proactively

Assist with punch lists, turnover, and final closeout documentation

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily, student housing, or large-scale residential projects

Proven experience leading complex projects with aggressive schedules

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications

Experience managing multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously

OSHA certification preferred

Proficiency with construction scheduling tools and field reporting software

Preferred Experience

Ground-up student housing or podium-style multifamily construction

Experience working with developer-led or design-build delivery models

Exposure to fast-paced, schedule-driven project environments
