Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
Create and revise 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings in accordance with company drafting standards.
Assist in the development of new products, components, and assemblies from concept through production.
Perform basic engineering calculations to support product performance, safety, and reliability.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
Participate in testing in the engineering lab and production.
Documentation & Engineering Support
Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, DCNs/DRNs, test procedures, and technical reports.
Support prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities.
Assist with sustaining engineering efforts to support operations and maintain performance of existing products
Work with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and optimized for production.
Assist in troubleshooting issues related to design, quality, or performance.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and Sales.
Communicate design intent clearly through models, drawings, and presentations.
Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and standardization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar).
Understanding of dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawing standards.
Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or co-op experience in product design, manufacturing, or engineering support.
Experience working within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor).
Familiarity with FEA tools, tolerance stack-ups, and technical documentation.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to participate in assembly/test activities.

Working Conditions
Office and shop/production floor environment as needed.
Occasional travel may be required for vendor visits, training, or field support.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and participate in hands-on testing activities.
Work may be performed in an engineering laboratory environment where exposure to diesel fuel, oils, and other test fluids is required.
