DIRECT HIRE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY!
Primary Role: Supports metal fabrication operations through process improvement, technical problem-solving, and the development of standardized, efficient manufacturing methods. Works closely with Production, Quality, Scheduling, and Maintenance to enhance product quality, reduce waste, improve workflow, and increase operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance manufacturing processes for fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and finishing
Create and maintain routings, work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation
Conduct work flow, time study, and capacity analyses to improve efficiency
Review customer drawings and specifications for manufacturability
Recommend design improvements for cost reduction or improved performance
Provide daily engineering support to supervisors and operators
Troubleshoot quality or production issues and implement corrective actions
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and maintenance planning
Partner with Quality to investigate non-conformances and establish corrective actions
Work with Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Maintenance to support daily operations
Qualifications:
Bachelorâ s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
3â 5 years of experience in a product, project, or manufacturing engineering field
Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, or assembly operations
CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Negotiation skills for interactions with customers and suppliers
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
PDM & ERP experience (SolidWorks PDM, TeamCenter, Epicor, JobBOSS, SAP)
