CDL A Reefer Driver

As an OTR driver with Summit Logistics, you will operate modern Freightliner semi-trucks equipped with the latest amenities, hauling 53-foot reefer trailers. Your primary routes will take you from the Northeast to the South, with some loads heading to the Midwest. Compensation and Pay

Summit Logistics offers competitive compensation designed to reward your experience and dedication. Our pay structure includes:

Pay Rate: Starting at $0.55+ cents per mile (CPM), with all miles paid (loaded and empty). Higher rates are available based on experience and performance.

Weekly Earnings: Drivers can expect to earn $1,300+ per week on average, depending on miles driven and route assignments.

Pay Structure: All practical miles are compensated, ensuring you are paid fairly for every mile you drive, whether loaded or empty.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) and have a minimum of two (2) years of verifiable Over-the-Road (OTR) tractor-trailer driving experience. A clean driving record is essential—this means no major accidents, violations, or convictions in the last three years, and you must meet all DOT and company hiring standards.

We are looking for drivers with strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules. Experience with reefer trailers and temperature-controlled freight is highly preferred. You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic in everything you do.
