CDL A Reefer Driver

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of temperature-controlled freight across the United States. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating a Freightliner semi-truck and 53-foot reefer trailer in full compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. You will manage your routes efficiently, primarily running from the Northeast to the South with occasional Midwest destinations, while maintaining the integrity and safety of temperature-sensitive cargo throughout transit.

You will conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure your equipment is safe and operational, and maintain accurate logs of your working hours, vehicle service, and repair status using an electronic logging device (ELD). Communication is key in this role, and you will work closely with our dispatch team, brokers, and customers to ensure smooth operations. Above all, you will represent Summit Logistics professionally, providing exceptional customer service at every delivery.
