Important Note:
As part of our interview and hiring process, all candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and road test. DOT regulations also require an annual drug test.
What You’ll Do:
As a Tractor Trailer Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting store deliveries, donation pickups, and materials between our facilities. This is more than just a driving job, it's a role that helps change lives through the power of work.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A tractor trailer across designated routes
Load, secure, and protect cargo, including donations, retail goods, and raw materials
Maintain clear, consistent communication with dispatch
Complete all required paperwork, including vehicle logs and inspection reports
Conduct daily maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
Uphold all safety and operational protocols
Represent Goodwill Central Texas with professionalism and customer service excellence
What We’re Looking For:
Age: 21+
License: Valid Texas Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card
Experience: Proven ability to operate a tractor trailer safely and efficiently
Communication: Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Physical Requirements: Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and twist for up to 8 hours
Environment: Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments
