We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support our team at our location in Columbus, Ohio.
Summary:
Perform HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with the location’s management team, corporate human resources and safety. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, workers’ compensation, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law and compliance.
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource department including workers’ compensation, recruiting, employee relations, and communicating company policies and practices.Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, advice, and assistance on company policies and procedures.
Be the first point of contact for employee questions.
Administer the worker’s compensation program for all LSI locations.
Administer the new hire onboarding process, coordinating with other departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
This includes entering data into the HR information system and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain accurate employee data and maintain records to ensure compliance.
Update employee files, assist with PTO requests/tracking, and benefit changes.
Assist in the communication, enforcement, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, organizational chart, and job descriptions.
Plan and organize all employee related functions.
Conduct exit interviews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 3-5 years equivalent work experience
Required experience administering workers' compensation.
Experience working with HRIS platforms
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with employment law and compliance.
