Role Description
The Inspector/Quality Assurance role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. This position performs routine testing and inspections using precision measurement tools, collects and analyzes quality data, assists with documentation and procedures, and enters inspection results into systems for management review to support process control and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experience using test and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, protractors, and tape measures
Ability to obtain random samples from incoming materials and finished goods and evaluate them for conformance to specifications
Experience performing routine checks, testing, gauging, and instrument inspections
Ability to read and interpret contracts and specifications
Ability to assist in writing procedures, work instructions, and inspection report forms
Experience conducting testing per customer specifications, including color code standards
Ability to collect pertinent data to ensure processes remain within tolerance levels
Strong communication, reading, math, and computer skills
Previous quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
