SCCM Engineer

Job Title: SCCM Engineer - Application Packaging Engineer

Location: Plano, TX ( Hybrid: 3 days Onsite & 2 days REMOTE )

Duration: 12+ Months (Extension Possible)

Description & Skills / Experience Needed:

Looking for a candidate to perform desktop application administration and deployments, as well as security updates.

As a member of the Application Delivery team, you will create, test and deploy software packages, security patches and OS updates to a large and distributed enterprise.

You will bring solid expertise in Windows Desktop OS, PowerShell, SCCM and automation, and familiarity with Mac OS scripting.

2+ years experience in Windows desktop systems management in a large enterprise environment

2+ years experience with PowerShell and desktop scripting

Responsibilities:

Engage Application Owners/Developers/Vendors as needed to develop appropriate technical solutions

Create application packages in MSI and/or Virtual format

Maintain windows updates using Configuration Manager 2012

Create deployment plans that mitigate risk, minimize conflict, and optimize level of effort

Create partnerships with support teams ensuring they're aware of desktop changes and have an opportunity to provide feedback

Provide input into strategic direction and provide technical leadership within the App Delivery team

Own and implement process and technical improvements including process documentation and compliance improvements

Remediate issues discovered during testing or deployment

Provide third level support on packages, deployment, and windows update issues

Provide desktop troubleshooting support during high impact events

Provide automated solutions to alleviate issues that require manual technical intervention

Engage with project teams as needed to provide packaging and deployment support

Preferred:

2+ years experience with SCCM/MDM administration

1+ years experience in automation solutioning and a continuous integration platform such as Jenkins

1+ years experience in Mac OS scripting
