Position Summary

Carter Support Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support internal operations and client-facing services. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused applications that align with business goals and service excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys solving problems, writing clean and efficient code, and contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks

Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, security, and consistency

Integrate applications with third-party APIs, databases, and internal systems

Support deployments, updates, and ongoing system maintenance

Contribute to process improvements, technical standards, and documentation Required Qualifications

2+ years of professional software development experience

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C#, Java)

Experience with web or application development frameworks

Strong understanding of databases and data structures (SQL and/or NoSQL)

Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

Experience with debugging, testing, and performance optimization

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a support services, MSP, or operations-focused environment

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
