App Dev - Java - Lead

Job Title: Lead Java Engineer (IAM / SailPoint)

Location: Richmond, VA or Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 11-month contract

Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Mon-Thu), Friday WFH)

Interview Process: 1 round 1 hour Coding challenge required

Role Overview

Client is looking for a Lead Java Engineer to support backend development and API creation for IAM and SailPoint-based platforms. This role will contribute to identity platform convergence and modernization efforts and requires someone who can work independently without hands-on guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Should work on Artech W2

Must have previous client experience

Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java

Support SailPoint IdentityIQ integrations and workflows

Work within AWS cloud environments

Contribute to identity platform convergence initiatives

Collaborate with IAM analysts and engineering teams

Review requirements, ask clarifying questions, and propose solutions

Independently manage development tasks end-to-end Required Skills & Experience

Strong Core Java development experience

Experience with AWS (mandatory)

Beanshell

Sailpoint

API development and backend engineering expertise

Experience with GitHub, repositories, and CI/CD workflows

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
