Packer (Paint/Pack Line Floater): Freeport, Illinois

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Packers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Packer, you will float between the paint and pack lines, ensuring quality standards are met and production flows efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities of the Packer:

Pack components to accepted standards using various tools

Hang and remove paint line components as directed

Assemble items per BOM and instructions

Perform final product inspections and quality checks

Stack and organize painted products for handling

Operate tools and hand trucks safely

Maintain accurate records of material usage

Assist in the fabrication department as needed

Perform 5S housekeeping tasks and follow all safety protocols

Packer Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Ability to read tape measures and interpret technical drawings

Strong attention to detail and quality focus

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely handle materials

Able to work independently and in a team environment

Basic math skills and ability to document material usage

Excellent communication and safety awareness

Pay for Packer: $16.00/hour + $0.25 increases for first 2 months based on attendance and performance

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm, Friday 6am - 2pm, Saturday 6am - 11am as needed
