We have an exciting opportunity available for a back-end engineer who is a self-starter, excellent at getting things done, and not afraid to try new things. We require skills in cloud development and wearable data processing that will take our product to the next level. You will work as part of a dynamic and diverse team comprising geneticists, a product owner, scientists, and engineers. The team is at the cusp of expanding the product to millions of users.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop and maintain robust, scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel/Symfony) and Angular

Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services

Support third-party integrations with company-defined APIs

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into

responsive,

user-friendly interfaces

Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development

processes

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers,and QA testers

Ensure security and data protection best practices are followed

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose improvements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience in full-stack web development

Proficiency in PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or similar frameworks)

REQUIRED SKILLS (A subset of the below):

So, here’s what we’re looking for:

Strong experience with Angular (v10+ preferred)

Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript

Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON

Version control using Git

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development
