Job Description

PCG is seeking a Lean Consultant to deliver process optimization, increased efficiency and reduced costs across a wide variety of industries.

Our ideal candidate:

Self-starter with experience working in large companies who have implemented a Lean Business System.

Experience utilizing Lean tools.

Strong time management, project management, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitate teams through problem identification, selection, solving, piloting, implementing and sustaining.

Engage and collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement, review and evaluate strategies and tactics to deploy Lean initiatives to meet business goals.

Lead and implement continuous improvement efforts such as, Kaizens, Six Sigma, 8-D, Problem Solving and Value Stream Analysis to drive out waste and improve productivity.

Develop, monitor and ensure requirements are being met and improvements are being made to meet goals.

Facilitate capacity studies, machine utilization, lean flow to meet customer requirements as dictated by business capture plans and growth strategies.

Identify and facilitate the implementation of process improvements and cost savings opportunities aligned with key business objects.

Oversee project performance, track and measure results of improvement initiatives and ensure timely completion of goals.

Produce skills matrices and development initiatives for employee development and cross utilization of the workforce.

Review Lean performance expectations with leadership teams, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training and development and performance discussions.

Meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others.

Train, mentor and coach team to ensure a continuous improvement culture is institutionalized.

Demonstrate commitment to a culture of safety while promoting a safe work environment.

Comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or related field.

3+ years of practical experience with Lean methods/Six Sigma/Process Improvement.

Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or business process reengineering experience.

Proven Change Management skills.

Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

Expert in Microsoft Office including advanced skills in Excel.

Ability to coordinate, contribute to and work within a cross-functional team.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Able to prioritize duties and manage multiple projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Proven expertise and deployment of Lean manufacturing techniques, six sigma and use of continuous improvement tools and processes.

Black Belt and/or Green Belt certification.

Please Note:

This is a full-time position. Candidates must be eligible to work as Full-Time W-2 employees of PCG. Sub-contracting is not available for this position.
