Description
The Spa Concierge plays an important role in support of all spa operations. When promoting Spa services or selling retail, scheduling reservations and confirming appointments, providing answers about services, checking in guests, or processing payments, the Spa Concierge makes every interaction feel like part of the overall spa experience. This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Requires a thorough knowledge of all spa services and products, with the ability to promote and upsell
Maintain a positive, friendly, caring, and helpful attitude with guests and all team members at all times
Perform job duties with minimal supervision
Maintain an understanding and knowledge of the spa menu and industry in general
Communicate and explain all Spa policies and procedures to guests
Maintain complete knowledge of hours of operations, services, and products
Full knowledge and practice of proper chemical handling, cleaning, and disinfecting requirements within all areas of the spa
Unlock and lockup of treatment rooms and spa facility
Setup and breakdown of spa amenities, including tea, water, granola, towel standards
Ensure that all supplies/amenities are available to guests (towels, face cloths, bathmats, shower caps, sheets, shampoo, bath gel, moisturizer, conditioner, deodorant, mouth wash, shaving cream, razors, hair spray, hair dryers, brushes, combs, etc.)
Provide guests with robe and sandals and ensure the placement of dirty or used items in the proper containers
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of spa facility by performing necessary housekeeping duties throughout your shift. Ensure all linens, robes and sandals are properly stocked
Assist with the laundry duties such as loading washer, dryer, folding, restocking all storage and linen areas
Responsible for maintaining equipment and storage areas in linen closets and locker room facilities

Requirements
At least 1 year customer service experience, preferably scheduling appointments
Possess professional telephone etiquette for purposes of booking appointments and handling guest requests
Be able to make sound decisions by anticipating guest needs
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; phones, bookings and requests, checkouts, etc., while maintaining the highest level of customer service
Possess general accounting skills as required for cash and credit transactions and daily closeout paperwork
Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on tasks
Must maintain confidentiality of guest information
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, spa team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Spa including holidays
Be able to handle guests' complaints in a courteous and professional manner and stay calm under pressure
