Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Operations Manager / Production Manager to oversee daily operations, production workflow, and team performance within our sign company. Sign industry knowledge is strongly preferred, and candidates with hands-on production or fabrication experience will stand out.
This role is responsible for keeping projects on schedule, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient coordination between office, production, and installation teams.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day production and operational workflow
Manage schedules, deadlines, and job priorities
Coordinate between sales, estimating, production, and installation
Supervise shop staff and installers; enforce quality and safety standards
Monitor job progress, labor efficiency, and material usage
Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
Maintain inventory, equipment, and vendor coordination
Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
Ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in operations, production, or project management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the sign industry
Knowledge of sign fabrication, installation, and materials
Familiarity with production scheduling and workflow systems
Experience managing shop environments and field crews
