JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Service Engineer’s responsibilities include:

Managing and internally distributing OEM technical documentation and communications.

Resolving technical submittals, including addressing OEM design issues and supplier nonconformities.

Preparing detailed rework instructions and estimating associated rework costs.

Assisting sales, quality, supply chain, and customer service teams in supporting customers and operations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participate in OEM Scorecard and related meetings to review and solicit design and status updates for tools that are cancelled, obsolete, have safety concerns, or are new designs being launched.

2. Manage and internally distribute OEM technical documentation, such as Service Bulletins, Advisories, Stop Orders (SO), Technical Memos (TM), New Tooling Notices (NTN), presentations, CRTL updates, and changes tracked through Scorecard emails and tracking sheets.

3. Lead and manage technical submittals and communications related to OEM design issues and supplier nonconformities, including:

Tracking and driving resolution and closure of open issues.

Preparing rework instructions and estimating associated rework costs.

Communicating design changes and resolutions to sourcing and suppliers with open purchase orders.

Assist in investigating customer complaints to determine validity.

Communicating design issues identified by other licensees.

Managing forms and documentation such as:

Customer Problem Reports (CPR)

Source Problem Reports (SPR) for GE-related design issues

Deviation Forms for SAFRAN design issues

Engineering Nonconformance Management System (ENMS) entries for supplier- or AGSE-requested nonconformance deviations

4. Support Purchasing and Quality teams by:

Assisting with supplier selection, evaluation, and resolution of technical issues and inquiries.

Providing training to suppliers on specifications, engineering drawings, and other technical and quality documentation.

Supporting the disposition and resolution of Supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Contributing to the development and reporting of relevant performance metrics.

5. Support Customer Service and Sales teams by:

Maintaining work scope tool lists and the configurator to assist with customer RFQs and inquiries.

Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate technical support.

Participating in Tooling Inquiry (TI) meetings and communicating directly with customers to resolve issues and address questions.

6. Manage preventative maintenance programs including maintenance process updates, final inspection, repairs/refurbishments, invoicing, and documentation retention.

7. Prepare, track, and present KPI updates to support management of upgrades.

8. Serve as the primary technical interface with OEM ensuring alignment on design, manufacturing, and support initiatives.

9. Develop work scope documents and participate in customer site training meetings at customer sites as required.

10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

2. Experience in the design, manufacturing, and/or maintenance of commercial aerospace engines is required.

3. Skilled in reading blueprints and interpreting drawing symbols, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in accordance with ANSI Y14.5 standards.

4. Strong understanding of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing techniques and processes.

5. Capable of analyzing and interpreting customer technical and quality requirements, as well as relevant government standards.

6. Familiarity with CAD software systems, preferably AutoCAD, CATIA, and UG.

7. Proficient in verbal and written communication across diverse professional settings, including interactions with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.

8. Proven ability to establish and achieve goals and objectives.

9. Ability to schedule, organize, and manage the activities of team members.

10. Willingness and ability to travel internationally to customer, supplier, and corporate locations as needed.

11. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year plus a discretionary bonus of up to 10% of base salary.

While a Company bonus is not guaranteed, this position’s maximum bonus percentage range can be up to 10% of base salary.

Company bonuses are not guaranteed and are based on your performance, the department’s performance and/or the Company’s financial results.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift 25 pounds.
