Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 3pm, OT as required

Pay: $19.66 - $21.85/hr.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for operating all equipment on a packaging line and instruct general laborers efficiencies in line. This position requires leadership skills with strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain operation of designated packaging line including set up, change over and take down of equipment

Review packaging schedule to understand what is needed for set up of the line each day

Communicate with respect to safety of production along with meeting customer specifications

Must be able to use various types of equipment to run the line

Operation of and certification for forklift and pallet jack operation

Strict adherence to GMPs; Keep area clean

Strict adherence to Safety/PPE protocols and procedures; reporting unsafe conditions to plant management

Accurate recordkeeping and specific paperwork

Assist in Brine and Panela form cleaning and handling

Monitor Metal Detector checks and verifications

Verify product specifications such as code dates, labels etc.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Takes initiative to complete tasks along with a continuous improvement mindset

Works as a team with positive attitude and behaviors

Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs)

Flexibility in job roles, assisting team mates along with covering breaks when needed to meet business needs

Meet physical demands of role, Honest and high level of Integrity, high degree of personal hygiene per GMPs, dependable attendance to meet business demands

Physical Requirements:

Moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Fast-paced clean environment; frequently cool, wet, with moderate noise and working with chemicals
