Title: Data & AI Architect

Location: Remote (Travel as Needed) (Initially the candidate has to be onsite to gather requirements) Toledo, OH

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Architect to help define and implement a data-driven strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The consultant will assess current data capabilities, identify opportunities for AI and advanced analytics, and provide strategic guidance while remaining agnostic to specific products or vendors.

This role is not about selling a specific project but about delivering a holistic, actionable strategy for data, analytics, and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and regulatory requirements (including ITAR/EAR).

Assess the current data landscape, including architecture, governance, and analytics capabilities.

Define a data and AI strategy, including opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and business intelligence.

Recommend best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in line with industry regulations.

Identify potential AI and machine learning use cases without bias toward specific tools or platforms.

Provide agnostic recommendations for technology stacks, ensuring flexibility for the organization.

Guide leadership on data-driven decision-making and digital transformation.

Support the implementation of a roadmap that aligns with business objectives. Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in data strategy, analytics, and AI within regulated industries (manufacturing, aerospace, defense preferred).

Strong experience with Power BI.

Expertise in data governance, architecture, business intelligence (BI), and AI applications.

Ability to evaluate and recommend solutions without being tied to specific vendors or products.

Experience working with executive leadership to drive digital transformation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Willingness to travel as needed to engage with stakeholders and assess needs
