The Opportunity
The firm’s Risk & Quality team, part of the Business Enablement Functions, is responsible for the design and implementation of policies, procedures and controls, to enable the firm to adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements while ensuring consistent quality across its services. This internal opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about audit integrity, risk management, and compliance within a leading audit firm.
Working in the Independence Team offers a unique chance to enhance your expertise in audit quality and risk management while playing a crucial role in upholding the integrity and reputation of our firm. You will collaborate with diverse teams, gain valuable exposure to regulatory frameworks, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional client service with the highest level of professionalism.
Your Responsibilities
Monitor and evaluate compliance with independence policies and regulatory requirements across audit engagements
Perform independence checks including personal and firm-wide conflict screenings
Responding to enquiries and consultation requests from partners and staff on client engagements, including the nature of services being provided, the associated risks, and potential reputational and contractual exposures.
Keep up to date with regulatory changes impacting independence rules and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders
Assist in the development and delivery of training sessions and awareness programs to partners and staff.
Participate in internal and external audits and quality reviews related to independence compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Independence function
What You Bring
A university degree in any relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Engineering, or other related disciplines
No prior work experience required, as full on-the-job training and support will be provided; however, experience in compliance roles such as risk assessments or monitoring programs is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in risk management or compliance are a plus.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
Able to engage, influence, and educate team members effectively
