Job Description Join our Machining department as a proactive leader focused on maximizing equipment uptime and driving team performance.

As the Machining EQS Leader, you will provide essential direct leadership to your shift, ensuring we meet our production goals by responding to and resolving all equipment issues promptly.

This role is vital for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our complex mechanical and electrical systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Team Leadership & Development * Provide direct leadership to the shift team, assigning and overseeing daily repair and maintenance activities based on immediate production needs.

* Ensure adequate manpower coverage for all shifts, managing schedules based on vacation and call-ins.

* Conduct yearly performance evaluations for team members and develop personalized improvement plans.

* Mentor and train the team to elevate their skill levels, ensuring they are fully equipped to diagnose and resolve a wide range of equipment issues.

* Act as a safety champion, leading by example and strictly adhering to all safety policies and practices (LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, Fall Protection). * Facilitate smooth shift transitions by clearly communicating daily activities and prioritizing carry-over items with other shift leaders.

* Will assist in creating operational standards and sensitive documentation for the department.

Technical Maintenance & System Integrity * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

* Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) routines to ensure machines continue to run smoothly.

* Execute hands-on repairs, which include dismantling devices, cleaning/lubricating components, and replacing defective equipment parts.

* Utilize tools ranging from common hand/power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices.

* Install, assemble, and/or repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

* Record and document all maintenance and repair work performed, including associated costs.* Will be responsible for repairs or improvement activities during weekends and vacation coverage when needed.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Experience: Three or more years of leadership experience working with electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.

Technical Skills: Must have the ability to understand electrical ladder circuits as well as motor control circuits.

Software Skills (Proficiency or Familiarity): * Microsoft Office * Allen Bradley Software * Mitsubishi Software * Robotics Software * Auto CAD WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Environment: The Associate is regularly exposed to high temperatures.

The Associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts with repetitive motions.

The noise level is usually loud, and dust levels may be high.

Physical Activity (Constantly - More than 66% of time): Standing, Walking, Handling/Fingering, Crawl, Bending, and lifting 10 lbs or less.

Other Physical Requirements: Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception), Sense of Sound (Audible to Safety Alarms), Sense of Touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
