Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provided is an opportunity to serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a dynamic K-12 school located in Okeechobee, Florida. This contract position runs through the current school year, offering professionals an engaging environment to support students communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students.
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that address student-specific needs.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom.
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings and provide consultation as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Florida SLP license is required.
Experience working in school settings preferred.
Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology practices appropriate for K-12 populations.
Ability to manage caseload efficiently and work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location Details:
This position is based in Okeechobee, Florida, serving a K-12 school environment.
Contract runs through the current school year (CSY).
Additional Position Information:
Full and part-time hours available.
Caseload and specific assignments will be determined based on needs.
This role is not open to hybrid or remote work; on-site presence is required.
