Astria Health is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team! This position is located in the Astria Sunnyside Hospital in our Plant Operations Department.
Shift: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. More to me discussed during interview.
What you get to do every day!
As the Maintenance Engineer, under the direction of the Director of Facilities, is responsible for the general maintenance of the physical buildings of the hospital and all machines, tools, appliances, and apparatus necessary to conduct the medical, support and related services of the hospital. Performs skilled and semiskilled maintenance activities and related work. You will:
Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on buildings, systems, and equipment.
Identify and repair issues, such as faulty equipment, drywall, doors, and other building fixtures.
Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify and report potential issues.
Clean and maintain facilities and equipment.
Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Maintain records of maintenance and repair tasks.
Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment, such as goggles, masks, and gloves.
Provide security services to assist with staff safety.
Communicate with hospital staff, vendors, and co-workers.
Use basic computer skills to enter hours and work performed online.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.
Requirements
High School Graduation or GED.
Two or more years of work experience in maintenance or trades
Washington State Driver's License.
Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
Journeyman level in a trade
Two or more years of work experience in healthcare facilities
