Overview Our team is assisting a well established organization in the real estate and financial services sector with the recruitment of a Litigation Attorney for its Midwest legal group.
This role centers on handling a variety of residential and commercial real estate matters, including foreclosure litigation, title concerns, and related financial disputes.
The attorney in this position will regularly appear in court, craft litigation strategy, prepare motions and pleadings, manage discovery, and negotiate resolutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of contested litigation matters on behalf of mortgage lenders, servicers, and investors.Attend court proceedings and present arguments for both routine and contested foreclosure actions, title issues, HOA/COA disputes, and other real estate related cases.Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes.Review and analyze loan documents, title reports, and supporting materials.Draft motions, pleadings, and written discovery; prepare responses and conduct legal research as needed.
Required QualificationsJuris Doctor degree and active Illinois law license in good standing.1–3 years of litigation experience, ideally involving mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, or real estate disputes.Strong understanding of the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure process.Familiarity with the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure and Illinois Supreme Court Rules.
