JOB SUMMARY

Work closely with the Quality Manager/Engineer, shop foreman, production, and inspection team playing a crucial role in providing support to manufacturing processes while addressing issues related to production, quality, and efficiency. Primary responsibilities also include the initial design of parts per customer requirements and working with customers to optimize their designs for efficiency and performance.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Apply general knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to the design and production of custom precision parts serving the medical, automotive, food/beverage packaging, electronics, and aerospace industries.

Communicate with customers regarding design and production concerns. Handle non-conforming returned parts communication and problem-solving. Investigate and analyze customer complaints or product defects to identify root causes. Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.

Work directly with the foreman and production team to build "issues list" and gather necessary information for potential improvements.

Evaluate the inspection and quality control processes to make recommendations for improvement.

Effectively manage project timelines and due dates. Provide regular updates to project team members, identifying and addressing potential issues.

Design and manufacture parts requiring the use of a 3-D printer.

Assist with the research, setup, and implementation of various IT hardware and software systems throughout the organization.

Manage and complete other projects as assigned.
