Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate (CSA) is responsible for managing relationships between carriers, customers, and internal sales teams for assigned accounts. This role requires strong knowledge of customer operations, logistics processes, and transportation systems to deliver exceptional service and ensure accurate, timely product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact between Supply Chain and assigned external customers.
Manage all aspects of customer relationships, including monitoring high-volume email communication and resolving issues promptly.
Utilize multiple dispatch systems (TES, LME, FourKites, OTR) and external scheduling platforms (Retailix, Retail Link, UNFI, One Network, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
Maintain knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and software applications, as well as customer organizational structures and requirements.
Identify cost-effective and creative solutions to resolve delivery and service issues.
Proactively address issues impacting delivery accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation or logistics.
1-3 years of experience in transportation or logistics (not general customer service).
Proficiency in MS Office applications; ability to manage high email volumes (300+ emails per day).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask, manage conflict, and problem-solve effectively.
Positive attitude with strong negotiation and accountability skills.
