POSITION: Special Education Program Aide

LOCATION: Tainter Elementary

HOURS: 7:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

PAY RATE: $20.37/hour

QUALIFICATIONS: Special Education Program Aide license #883 or any valid WI DPI license.

Associate's Degree preferred.

DESCRIPTION: The Rice Lake Area School District is looking for an employee to serve as a paraprofessional. Responsibilities include supporting individualized education program (IEP) implementation, including academic, behavioral, and functional, promoting student independence, and collaborating with staff to create a safe and effective learning environment. Other duties may be assigned based on student need, including driving students to and from school. Primary skills needed include knowledge of or a willingness to learn strategies for addressing challenging behavior and working with students with significant disabilities. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and flexibly to meet changing demands in various school environments.
