Fire Fighter (Part Time)

* Note: This position is part-time only.

Note: This position requires you to reside in West Wendover, Nevada; Wendover, Utah or the immediate surrounding area.

This Part Time Fire Fighter position is under general and direct supervision of the Senior Fire Fighter Personnel including Lieutenant's, Captains, and Fire Chief.

Performs technical fire fighting duties in responding to calls, requests for public safety assistance and offering of appropriate aid.

Is capable of performing physically demanding activities and operating and maintaining appropriate fire fighting vehicles, equipment and tools in relation to the duties of a fire fighter.

Can meet appropriate training objectives of a fire fighter in relation to physical fitness, vehicle and equipment operation and the application of first aid and other related life-safety operations.

Is capable of and committed to the required training of a fire fighter, which involves at a minimum five hours of training conducted on Wednesday's of each week and the ability to respond to paged call outs for emergencies when available.

Is capable of receiving and implementing orders issued by superiors in the Department and maintaining a professional decorum and behavior at all times.
