**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering professional with a strong background in modern cloud-based data platforms and enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, as well as implementing robust data governance and advanced analytics capabilities across complex environments.
This role requires a minimum of **5 years of practical experience in cloud data engineering**, with a particular focus on **Microsoft Azure**, **Databricks**, and **Microsoft Fabric**. In addition, the candidate should possess an overall professional background of **10 to 15 years** in data engineering, data architecture, or related technical disciplines, demonstrating a consistent track record of delivering high-quality, scalable data solutions.
Key responsibilities include the end-to-end development of **ELT and ETL pipelines**, implementation of efficient **data models**, and the creation and maintenance of **AI/ML data pipelines** to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. The role also involves hands-on work with **Unity Catalog**, **Microsoft Purview**, and other governance tools to ensure data quality, lineage, compliance, and security across the organization.
Candidates should be comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional environments and capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions that align with best practices in cloud data engineering. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets are essential.
Professional certifications related to **Microsoft Azure such as Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar credentials---are highly preferred and will be considered an asset.
