About the Role

Bonhams Skinner is seeking a motivated and talented individual to assume this cross-functional role that is both in the gallery and on the road. A competitive applicant should have experience in the field, enjoy a dynamic workplace, and have excellent communication skills. This role comes with long days when necessary, in order to get the job at hand finished; some night and weekend work, and ability to travel overnight as necessary; must be available to work auctions as requested.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Picking up/packing property from customers' homes, storage facilities, museums, etc.

Transferring property to our Boston Gallery when necessary

Unloading and loading trucks arriving or departing our locations

Packing/unpacking, and binning property

Inventory and database management

Managing pickups by clients, shippers, and third parties

Moving property to assist with photoshoots

Assisting Transportation department on the road as needed

Exhibition setup for public previews

Assisting clients during auctions and previews

Responsible for an auction duty (phone bidding, clerking, etc.)

Providing excellent customer service in a professional manner and problem solve in a timely manner

In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

Key Skills and Attributes

1-2 years of related experience but will train the right person

Ability to lift a maximum of 80 lbs based on needs of the role

Ability to understand, follow and execute written and/or verbal instructions

Flexibility in performing different tasks

Must operate with a sense of urgency, and have attention to detail

Must be self-disciplined and have the ability to work independently

Strong interpersonal skills
