What You’ll Do:

The Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated student to join our team as a Grants Intern. This position offers hands-on experience in grants management and monitoring processes within state government.

As a Grants Intern, you will work closely with OBM staff on projects that strengthen compliance and financial oversight. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with subrecipient monitoring to ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Supporting the Single Audit Review Centralization Project, helping streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Analyzing complex financial data using tools such as Excel.

Collaborating with team members on monitoring and grants-related tasks.

Interns will work between 24-32 hours per week in our downtown Columbus office. If selected, the primary workdays can be mutually agreed upon; we can work with your schedule.

What We’re Looking For:

Currently near completion of an undergraduate degree or enrolled in a graduate program (e.g., Master of Public Administration).

Preferred fields of study: Accounting or Public Administration (auditing coursework is helpful).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial accounting principles.

Prior experience with monitoring grants is a plus.
