About the Role

HK Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality electrical engineering services across a broad range of sectors, including health, education, commercial, urban, civic, and recreational developments. This is a key position within the engineering team and will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the company’s national operations.

The role will involve:

• Providing technical solutions and preparing electrical engineering design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports

• Offering technical leadership and guidance within the electrical engineering services team

• Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and technical reports

• Providing engineering support across offices in NT, QLD, VIC, and WA

• Mentoring and supporting junior team members

• Assisting with business development and client engagement activities

• Driving innovation in systems thinking and contributing to continuous improvement in project delivery and quality processes

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering

• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)

• Proven experience in the technical design of building services

• Capability in preparing designs, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimates, and schedules

• Proficiency with electrical and lighting design software, including Powercad and AGI/DIALux

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a national team

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Willingness to undertake short-term work in remote or regional locations when required

• A solutions-focused mindset with a drive to improve systems and processes

• High-level verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to self-motivate and motivate others

• Desire to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Highly Regarded Attributes

• CPEng or equivalent professional qualification

• State-based engineering registration

• Experience working within the Queensland market

• Exposure to high voltage primary and secondary systems design

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
