Job Description:
A successful commercial HVAC contractor based in North Texas is seeking a licensed, professional
HVAC Design Engineer to assist with the design and development of HVAC projects. This role will focus on design-assist efforts, conceptual HVAC estimating, and quality control/commissioning for ongoing HVAC construction projects across a wide range of commercial, institutional, and industrial applications.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in HVAC applied system design and be driven to support the creation of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective mechanical construction projects throughout Texas and neighboring states.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform building envelope and heat load analysis.
• Select and specify mechanical equipment for various project types.
• Design air distribution and hydronic piping systems.
• Develop and review building automation system sequences of operation (SOO) for both central plant and airside systems.
• Assist with conceptual HVAC estimating and system cost evaluation.
• Provide quality control and commissioning oversight for active construction projects.
• Collaborate with design, project management, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited U.S. program.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas.
• Proven and meaningful experience in HVAC applied system design.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical system design and controls.
• Demonstrated record of stable and successful employment history.
