Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools is comprised of a non-profit network of public charter schools designed to significantly increase high school graduation rates, college entrance, and college graduation rates for underserved students in North-East Los Angeles, and the North-East San Fernando Valley.

Our mission at PUC Schools is to develop and manage high-quality charter schools in densely populated urban communities with overcrowded and low-achieving schools. The Team Member we are searching for

The ideal MFT Trainee believes in, and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC Schools and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, execution of school culture, and collaboration to ensure student success.

What you will need to accomplish:

Research:

Conduct a search for information on various topics related to the field of Mental Health:

Theories

Treatment/Interventions

Group Therapy Topics/Curriculums

Diagnosis

Community Resources/Referrals

Therapy Tools/Books/Resources

Organization:

Keep Inventory of Clinical Counseling Program materials

Maintain File Cabinet

Check stock on toys, games, books, etc. for Clinical Counseling Department

Translation (If Bilingual):

Coordinate with MFT Trainees/Interns to conduct phone conversations and set up family therapy appointments with Spanish-speaking families

Translate Family Therapy sessions for MFT Trainees with Spanish-speaking families

Attendance at Training sessions (When available):

Attend Monthly Trainings

Attend Orientation sessions and Group Supervisions

What do we require from you?

Minimum Qualifications

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, majoring/minoring in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Marital and Family Therapy, School Counseling, or Social Work
