Associate, Video Editor

Summary

The New York Mets are looking for a creative and talented Associate Video Editor to support the Social Media team across different video production needs. This role will be responsible for editing short-form videos (TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts), as well as editing long-form videos when necessary. This person will assist with on-site video shoots, helping capture compelling content to share on the Mets social media channels.

The ideal candidate is a skilled, detail-oriented video editor that demonstrates their understanding of short-form content platforms. This person should be easily adaptable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while delivering high quality work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Edit short-form videos (including but not limited to content with players, celebrities, promotions, hype videos, culturally relevant trends)

When necessary, edit long-form video

Collaborate with the Social Media team to bring video concepts to life

Support video shoots with both cell phones and cameras

Contribute to the creation of engaging content that connects with fans across all social media platforms

Qualifications

1+ years of short-form video editing

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar video editing software)

Comfortable shooting video using both cell phones and cameras

Demonstrate understanding of short-form content platforms (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels)

Detail oriented

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the baseball season

Preferred Skills

Experience using Adobe Photoshop

Experience in editing long-form videos for social media

Familiar with shooting video on a camera

Previous experience shooting/editing video for a sports team
