A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've provided spiritually motived care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. Caring for someone isn’t just a job, it’s a compassionate calling based on deep-rooted spiritual beliefs.

We are seeking to hire a Security Guard.

Full-Time schedules available: 10:30pm to 6:30am or 10:15pm to 6:45am.

$17 to $20 per hour based on skills and experience.

Security Guard Qualifications:

High School graduate.

Security Guard experience required.

Must be personable with good people skills.

Any individual less than 20 years of age must have completed Ohio Peace Officer Training (OPOT).

Criminal background check after job offer.

Security Guard Job Summary:

Perform security, safety and fire patrols and tours.

Complete inside/outside rounds throughout shift.

Responsible for locking or unlocking various doors and windows as required.

Answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate department.

Assist all persons with general information, accurate directions and/or rectifying minor complaints and problems.

Operate switchboard as scheduled and for switchboard operator’s meal period and monitor CCTV.

Monitor scanner radio for storm warning and other emergencies.

Secure furniture in the courtyard during storms to prevent blowing around and injury.

Secure safety in entrances to the building; shoveling, brushing, salting, call snow removal personnel when needed.

Direct individuals or deliveries to proper entry.

Watchful for the safety of Residents on the grounds especially those who may wander.

Cover limited maintenance duties to include emptying the trash and laundry chute.
