We are looking for a skilled professional to provide coverage for our established neurosurgery team at a leading facility near Washington, NC.

Position Overview Profession: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Specialty: Neurological Surgery Employment Type: Locum Tenens Key Details Shift Schedule: 7 on, 7 off from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Weekend-only shifts available from Friday at 7:00 PM to Monday at 7:00 AM Practice Setting: Inpatient only at a Level 1 Trauma Center Team Structure: Join an established team of 9 Neurosurgeons and 9 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) providing 24/7 inpatient support.

Responsibilities Conduct admissions and discharges, consultations, and, if desired, assist in the operating room.

While discharges at night are not typical, they may occur depending on patient needs.

Participate in an orientation day prior to starting your shifts to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Requirements Certifications: Must be Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

Experience: Previous experience in a neurosurgery or trauma setting is preferred.

Facility Overview Work in a 974-bed tertiary hospital accredited by JCAHO, equipped with the latest technology and support systems.

Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records to streamline patient care and documentation.
