Job Description
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers in delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice to Australian clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and client-ready advice documentation in line with Australian regulatory standards. This position is suited for someone who understands paraplanning workflows, can work independently once trained, and is committed to building a long-term career in financial planning.
You will work closely with Financial Advisers and internal team members to ensure advice documentation is accurate, compliant, and ready for adviser sign-off.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing Statements of Advice (SoA), Records of Advice (RoA), and Client Review documents in line with Australian financial advice regulations
Analysing client information, including personal and financial details, cash flow, net worth, superannuation, insurance needs, and investment portfolios
Conducting product research and comparisons across superannuation, investments, and insurance products
Translating adviser strategy notes into clear, structured, and compliant advice documents
Ensuring all advice documentation is accurate, well-presented, and ready for adviser review
Maintaining strict adherence to compliance, regulatory, and internal quality standards
Updating and maintaining client records accurately in CRM and financial planning systems such as Xplan or equivalent
Identifying errors, inconsistencies, or missing information and proactively flagging them to advisers
Supporting ongoing client reviews by updating financial data, refreshing projections, and preparing review packs
Assisting with post-advice implementation paperwork where required
Managing multiple advice files while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
Working independently once familiar with internal processes and expectations
Ideal Candidate
You have 2–3 years or more experience in a paraplanning role, preferably within Australian financial planning.
You have a strong understanding of paraplanning workflows and know what the role involves.
You are highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
You are able to “switch on” quickly and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
You can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines consistently.
You have a professional attitude and are committed to a long-term career in financial planning.
You are not suited to this role if you are running side businesses, planning to start your own firm in the near term, or have unrealistic salary expectations not aligned with role scope.
