Position Summary: The PMO Project Administrator (IT Modernization) will support the Project Management Office (PMO) for the PASS Modernization Project, which is transitioning the District Government's procurement management system to a cloud-based solution. The role involves managing documentation, tracking milestones, coordinating schedules, and assisting with Agile-based project support. Initial project length is 12+ Months with possible extension.
Target Salary Range: $100,000 – $107,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Support all PMO project planning activities including developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules.
Create and organize project documentation, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Coordinate and consolidate weekly workstream status reports and prepare management summaries.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies using Microsoft Project or Agile Scrum tools.
Maintain accurate project artifacts and ensure all documents are accessible to team members via Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Assist with project scope management, change management, communication processes, and RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions) tracking.
Prepare and organize Steering Committee and other project meetings, including documentation of discussions, actions, and decisions.
Collaborate with project managers and the PMO team to ensure alignment across schedules, deliverables, and organizational goals.
Provide PMO support for planning, acquisition coordination, training, user acceptance testing, and go-live readiness.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ years of experience managing large, complex IT projects.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Project, Box, and Visio (or equivalent tools).
Demonstrated experience using Agile Scrum project management methodologies.
Proven ability to organize and maintain project artifacts in digital environments like Teams or SharePoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desirable.
